Anyone interested in taking SCUBA courses at Seatasea??
I am taking a trip to the Dominican Republic in May and thought I would look into taking the beginner Scuba courses before going.
I haven't contacted them yet, but if there was enough people interested they might have some sort of group discount.

FYI, there classes are usually booked well in advance, so I don't know if you'd be able to get a group discount (maybe though).

I did the classroom/pool portion of my certification at SeaTaSea and I was happy with them. They do a great job.

I'll probably be taking a refresher coarse myself sometime in the near future because I haven't dived in 3 years.

there site shows open classes in the next few months, but it doesn't say how many opening are available, or how big the classes can be.

I haven't signed up for a class yet. It would be the March 19-20, or the April 9-10 class. The trip is in May.
I did more research and the area of the Dominican Republic I will be going to isn't know for very good diving. I am sure for my first time it would still be awesome, but the reefs are lacking and the water isn't the clearest.  I am also going to talk to the resort and see if they run anything out of the resort or if I would have to find a local dive shop to book a trip. If its going to be a hassle to do a dive I may just do snorkling instead. I would still like to take the Scuba class because I will plan a trip that I can dive on in the future.

Response from Seatasea. It looks like they offer a decent discount on groups of 6 or more. Reg price is $315. I would have to check available dates for groups, but I am sure April wouldn't be a problem for a group if there is enough interest
