Advice? Sea Cucumber Evisceration

Picked up a sea cucumber at spring fest a month and a half ago. Looks like it eviscerated today. I don't think it was for defense reasons. Nothing has been bothering it and it's lodged in the rocks pretty well atm. I'm just worried a little bit about toxicity issues(i'm not running any carbon). Has anyone else had this happen in their tank and what was the outcome? Should I try to remove it or is there a chance it will regenerate?
