I was wondering if anyone uses this product? I had a dragon soul Davis and I was using fuel along with regular feedings. The favia died but I kept using the fuel. Because my other coral where exploding and growing fast and healthy. The only draw back is I get algae blooms. I have to clean the glass every other day. I have cut back on the dosage amount. Now I have a thin green slimy film starting to form on top of the water. I have now backed my t5 lights back to 9 hrs a day being on. Should I stop using the fuel? My corals are doing so good I would hate for that to stop.

maybe try other means of nutrient export, more frequent water changes, skimmer, carbon dose ect. and continue to use the fuel in moderation.

I am using a eshoppes protein skimmer. I do a 25% water change every two weeks. What other neutriens would you suggest? I also thank you for your input as I'm just starting in the reefs again, its been years since I kept one and things have changed.

Fuel is good stuff. The things you bring up do not sound fuel related to me but rather nutrient and or lighting. Couple things change your filter socks out weekly they collect a lot of gunk. How many bulbs on that t5 and how old are the bulbs? 9 hours isn't awfully long depending on how many bulbs you are running that long

Algae forming on your glass like you mention seems pretty normal to me

I am running a aquatic life t5 with 4 bulbs. 2 atintic blue 1 purple 1 daylight. Atintic blues are on for 12hrs the purple and daylight are on for 9hrs. The bulbs came with the light and whole system is only 2 months old. I also use zoo plankton along with the fuel. I am running a rival can ester filter. I clean the filter media every weekend. I am looking into getting a wet dry filter system though. Can't figure out if its better to buy a system or build my own. I get my water for water changes from seascapes per mixed. I run a 1.024 at 79 degrees. Oh yea the tank is a 75 gallon.
