I am new to the hobby and I am looking for a few items. I have a 55 gallon setup with lights, heater, live sand, live rock, a Fluval hang on the back filter, and one powerhead. The fish I have in there now are a Coral Beauty, Clown, Scooter Blenny, Blue Tang, three Cardinals, and a Neon Goby. I also have some hermits and snails, and a chocolate chip starfish. Everything seems to be doing extremely well so far so I am looking to add to it. I would even be up for a trade to a bigger tank if someone was interested.

I am looking for a few items:

A protein skimmer that will work for a 55 gallon tank - preferably simple to use

    Live Rock

Corals and Anemones - preferably ones that are easy to care for as I am not very knowledgable on these yet

Peaceful fish - either for sale or recomendations

If anyone has any of these items up for sale or just have some advice please text me at 641-919-5189.

    Thanks!

If you want more fish or to keep the 1s you have for long I would strongly suggest a bigger tank

I agree. A 55 is way too small for a blue tang long term.

Hey chall. Its about time to switch to coral from fish. Your pretty close to limit bio load wise. And that blue tang needs more room to grow.. it best in this hobby to plan for full grown size rather than what size you buy the fish at. You chocolate chip star fish will eat anything coral wise. There is very little it wont eat in fact. And is best su8ted f9r a fowlr tank.

It might be time to look into an upgraded tank if you have the budget and room. You have more fish than I in a 75!

That angel will most likely pick at polyps too.

My Coral B angel doesn't pick at my zoas or polyps, but I spend lots of time placing algae and sea lettuce in the tank. I bet if I don't keep this consistantly replenished he would destroy my corals...
