Seascapes DISASTER!!!

Oh what a bummer!

 

When was this? I saw that they had set up a new tank back in the fish room. Is that the reason why?

 

The one in the back room they're babysitting for a friend. I hope this was an accident. That's beautiful tank. Did any coral make it?

 

its their main display tank. they put a sign on it apologizing for the appearance and explained what happened. they have since installed a camera facing the sump area. tons of hair algea in it the tank now.

 

I hope they catch the person. criminal and cival cival lawsuit for sure.

There tank crashed several weeks before the first post. And right after it did no one said anything about anyone "dumping" something in the sump. So I'm not sure where that rumor came from.

There are still several corals and only a couple fish in there. It's slowly coming back and I imagine it'll be restocked in time.

 

The tank did crash, but it IS belived something was put in it according to Tim. I was there the day the fish were all jumping out and most of them died that day. They reviewed the tapes and could not tell anything for sure. I belive the sump was not in camera range. It is now.

 

I think that system has had issues for a while, and a couple small crashes, but this last crash was really bad.

 

Few months ago the edge overflow tank crashed too and killed everything in there. Tim said an ex employee used too much kalk killing aptasia.
