Like i said, I will personally pay double my dues if they drop sponsorship because of some legitimate concerns people have expressed here. If I was the owner and read this, I would be thankful to everybody for bringing these concerns to my attention. Whether i knew of them or not. If sponsorship is dropped, I guess we know the concerns stated here were not very important to making a better store for ALL of the GIRS members and more profitable for the owner.

I don't think this thread should be deleted. I don't have a problem with Seascapes, I visit every couple weeks or so and have never had a problem getting someone to help me.
I don't know how much business they do in fish, If it's not enough to justify having someone back there to greet a customer then I would understand. This hobby just isn't that much of a money maker, If your only making a small profit then you'd be a fool to pay someone to stand in that one area waiting to help a customer. Think about the cost of just having a single employee handle that area and only that area all day and all week...It doesn't sound very practical to me.
Now that they are in the back room are maybe they need a way to make it easier for a customer that does need help to get it without having to walk around looking for someone. Maybe a courtesy light outside the door leading to the fish room that can be turned on by the customer or bell that would alert an employee that they have a customer needing assistance?

Deleting this thread would be stupid, as a business owner I would love to see this kind of stuff. Why because then I would jump my employees about helping a certain group of people and making sure the people that support there business is taken care of. The best advertisement is word of mouth, even if you think dog food is there main seller, who cares in this day and age every dollar and every customer is important because that pays the bills. I've bought alot of my fish from seascapes and have had really good luck if Tim is there.
