I have a full sized (4/4) professional cello that I am selling. Used very lightly for two years since I bought it at Reck Violin Shop for $1500. Since then have only played it once a week during my cello lessons at the University. Comes with a professional case that I bought separate, bow, resin, two mutes, and beginner cello book. Asking $1000 OBO. Pictures to come later this afternoon. Still in great condition. Only selling because I don't have time to keep up a fish hobby, two instruments (I also play flute) and a double major. Please message me if you are interested or have questions.

My nephew plays cello in the high school orchestra. I'll see if there's an interest in buying one.

Haha. Well, if he was interested, all the fingerings/hand positions are the same from viola to cello, just a lower register. He could very easily pick up the cello with a little practice /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

Can I play flute instead? I'll definitely have that and sound a LOT better on flute. I've played that for 12 years but cello off an on the past two years. When I manage to keep my hand in the right spot it sounds really pretty though, so its a really nice cello.. I'm just a poor cellist hehe

Make it known up at the school of music and I bet you can sell it no problem. There's always incoming students who need to buy their own instrument. I play tuba in a brass quintet here in CF.

Will do. Thanks for the suggestion. I thought maybe posting a flier at Eble music also. Thats where all the students post ads for private lessons at least.

does your school have a classifieds message board? Back in my college days,... all of 4 years ago =) there was cheggpost.com it was great and other schools had been added, maybe that is still around or they changed the name, not sure. but it was a classifieds for college students and various schools.
