I have a summer project of slowly setting up a new 65 gallon reef tank and transferring my biocube to that. Sooooo I need to find some things to get it up and going. Right now I have the tank, stand, plumbing, sump, and sump pump... so I am casually looking for a skimmer, LEDs, and whatever else I need to get it going. So maybe some algae and rock for the sump, and rock for the actual display. So if anybody has any deals on anything let me know! I am in college, so I will not be spending the big bucks on lights or anything, so if you have any deals that would be awesome! Thanks y'all!

I needed another full spectrum led light for my 280 and didn't want to spend another $350-400 on one. I found one with a built in timer and Wider/more spread than most of the standard cheap chinese lights. It was $175 shipped. If you're interested, I'll send you the info. I like them quite well. You can do dimming....but can't do a ramping up/down...but a lot of bang/$ for 175.

sure that would be great! I am just trying to get all my options in line! Is it bad for corals not to have the sunrise/sunset function?

It's a matter of opinion I feel. Would you rather slowly wake up in the morning or have lights blasted in your face? Same thing with corals. It allows coral to get used to and 'open up' to the light. Is it needed? No. Is it harmful? Debatable...I say no. For years/decades people used lighting sources that could not do sunrise/sunset...and corals thrived. If you have the money, then go for it...your corals will thank you. For the $200 difference you can put that towards something else your corals will thank you for. my 2cents. I'll send you info tonight when I get home.
