Setting up 65 gallon!

I needed another full spectrum led light for my 280 and didn't want to spend another $350-400 on one. I found one with a built in timer and Wider/more spread than most of the standard cheap chinese lights. It was $175 shipped. If you're interested, I'll send you the info. I like them quite well. You can do dimming....but can't do a ramping up/down...but a lot of bang/$ for 175.

 

It's a matter of opinion I feel. Would you rather slowly wake up in the morning or have lights blasted in your face? Same thing with corals. It allows coral to get used to and 'open up' to the light. Is it needed? No. Is it harmful? Debatable...I say no. For years/decades people used lighting sources that could not do sunrise/sunset...and corals thrived. If you have the money, then go for it...your corals will thank you. For the $200 difference you can put that towards something else your corals will thank you for. my 2cents.
