Tonight I went down to check on things and the lights were off on my 75 and things were really quiet. I narrowed it down to my return pump which was tripping the gfci. This is a Mag 9.5 which has been running for a few years now, and it had the unfortunate problem of sticking when you shut it off, a fairly common Mag problem from what I've read. Do you suppose that during one of my impromptu restart drills, which entailed me bonking it until it started up, may have loosened something to create a short?

Well, it was not the return pump after all. I took the pump off the skimmer and tried that, but the circuit tripped again. After some more checking, it appears it was a powerhead that was having issues.
