I know menards sell egg crates in the wall covering section in 2x4 sheets for about 11 bucks.

In the Quarantine tank, would you run a protein skimmer at all? I know some medicines call to shut it off. Lets see some pics of some quarantine tanks! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Most QT tanks call for no carbon or other chemical filtration...and a few which can cause foaming tell you to turn off your protein skimmer, but most should be OK with running your skimmer. First and foremost, follow the instructions of the meds if you are dosing with something, but if not, and you have a skimmer to use, use it!

I'm using a 29 gal tank with an eclipse hood on it. Easy to change filter cartridges, big enough water chemistry is mostly stable, and cheap /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif.

The bio cubes with older lighting can be had dead cheap too, and they make awesome QT tanks.

I keep a couple sponge filters in my sump, and then throw them in the QT tank with a piece of liverock, sometimes some macro algae. if nothing is wrong at the end of QT, they goes back in the main tank once it is done.
