Just a heads up: I'm going to be upgrading our forum & tapatalk modules tonight so there may be some temporary weirdness/downtime while it happens.

It shouldn't take too long though...

Tonight's site updates are now complete. I appologize if things got slow for a bit. I had to turn on some debugging tools to work through some issues and this made things load slowly.

    A few notes:

Attachments are just attachments now and can no longer be used to insert images into your post. In place of that, the "Insert Image" button now lets you upload photos directly to the site (provided you are a club member). This is a lot less confusing than the way it worked before.

When you reply to a post, it should now take you to the last page in the post rather than the first page. This should be a little less annoying.

If the editor is not loading for you, click on the refresh editor button. If that does not fix the issue for you, press control-F5 to reload the page. If the issue is still not fixed, clearing your browser cache/temporary files should fix the issue.
Thanks

    -JB

Hey JB I just noticed this I think yesterday, it may coincide with some updated, but I get 2 e-mail notifications for every thread reply now. I thought it was just people double-posting but that's not it. It is consistent, I get every notification twice.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Not sure what's causing it because I didn't change anything that had to do with email.

    I'll track it down tonight.

How many (if any) notifications for this message did you get?

I have been getting double messages since sometime in the mid afternoon early evening last night for all notifications.

I don't know if its anything to do with the site updates, but if you follow this link from the GIRS site, type in the user name and password, then hit login for some reason it jumps right back to this site. It was not this way before.

That couldn't have anything to do with the updates. In fact, I don't see the same behavior. The login works fine for me.

Shane P. posted about it in the AWT information thread. So I tried the link in that thread and it did exactly as he described. You input the information, hit the login button, and it snaps back to that thread on the GIRS site. Same thing happens when I try it from the link I posted in this thread.

    I'm on Chrome Version 33.0.1750.146 m

When you click that link you go to their site, not ours. Anything that happens on that site has to be done by them.

In certain circumstances, they are doing a response redirect to the referring URL after login (which in this case is our website). This likely the way their site was designed to work as they probably didn't count on people linking directly to their login page.

Is there a way to add messaging on the tapatalk app? Also.. Not sure if this is the place for this but I've received four emails about renewing my membership/it's expiring April 3rd in three days... Not sure if that's supposed to do that or not ;)
    Thank you for the updates!

Tapatalk is a hard thing to keep up with on this site because JB has to basically re-write the code for it every time they come out with a new update, and their updates don't contain any useful information for him to do so. Messaging is on the list of desired functionality, but considering how complicated Tapatalk coding integration is, I wouldn't count on it anytime soon. If it does happen, I would consider it a huge bonus though!

Regarding your membership, 4/3 is more than 3 days away so that's odd. Thanks for bringing it up. Let us know if it keeps happening.

Crazy, I had no idea all of the coding was that deep with just a simple app.. Really makes me appreciate what work has been done so far.
Yeah I have full intentions on renewing.. Judy was going to let it run to the third.. Thought it was odd the emails kept coming! Thanks for the reply!!

Sites that run vBulletin, xenForo, phpBB, etc get updates written for them by Tapatalk. No one really uses the DotNetNuke forum engine, which is what this site uses, so in this case the tie-in must be written manually. The only reason it even works at all is because JB spent a lot of time writing the code for it. Then every time they change the coding, they do not bother to release a change log so it's just a never ending battle, so it just is what it is right now.

Whenever you renew, it automatically tacks on a full year. So if you renew today, your membership will get extended out to 4/3/2015.
