skimmer and sump system needed 210 gal

i wish i could help, but to keep things working as well as you can the best thing to do without a skimmer would be water changes. you'll prolly just have to break down and get one from aquacave or bulkreefsupply, they seem to have the fastest shipping to iowa. but for your size tank your going to be spending some money.

may i ask what happened initially? did you start up and buy a bunch of stuff then realize you needed a skimmer to keep it alive or did you have a skimmer and it break? if things are going to die, maybe contact someone in your area to see if they can hold some stuff till you get things worked out.

i would but i live a ways away from you, im an hour from DM and 2 hours from cedar rapids and and hour and a half from iowa city

 

There are lots of good skimmers available on Reef Central. I just got a small EuroReef for $120 shipped. I've seen other skimmers that would handle your tank size for $200 and less. Bulk Reef Supply has great prices on new skimmers. I know that doesn't get a skimmer on your tank, but at least it gives you some direction. Good luck!
