i have a Seio Rio skimmer on my biocube 29 (fits up to 60 gallons i think?) but i just cleaned out the motor from it being clogged with hair algae and now its mass producing fine micro-bubbles into my tank like crazy! its so bad at time some of my mushroom corals arnt even opening up.. i tryed using a micro fine water polishing sponge (a trick i learned from my fish system at PetSmart) on the water return from the skimmer to the tank but it really doesnt seem to be helping...
ADVICE?? its always great to hear what everyone's ideas are..so any input would be amazing..

From my experience, whenever I "overclean" my skimmer, it removes the slime coating (that is good) that builds up in the skimmer. Without this slime coat, it makes tons of little microbubbles. Whenever mine did this, the bubbles usually started going away after a day or so as a new slime coat reforms. Just my two cents. Good luck!

micro bubbles for a few days arn't going to hurt anything really. (google artilce on 10 reefkeeping myths) but they do cause creep and arn't pretty to look at.

give it some time to settle in. is this a HOB skimmer?
