make that 3 for the SRO5000. Mine has been going strong for several years now and makes some really nasty juice still.

@Armydog@Armydog runs a Skimz. Pulls some nasty ****. I can't remember what size it was but it's on his 300dd tank and frag tank. I saw it in person. Looks nice.
Another one to look into is Aquamaxx skimmers. I think the Co3 or co5.

Pumps are internal. But its a pretty big skimmer. Imo pulls more stuff then I have seen any other skimmer do. I dump the cup 3 times a week thick brown slug

@Armydog@Armydog are you carbon dosing or doing the zeo thing still?
I noticed that mine is pulling much more out since I started carbon dosing. I dump a couple times a week now. It used to almost run in cycles where it would pull some stuff, then nothing, then pull a little more. Like there was nothing to skim at times. I would only have a little bit in the cup in a weeks time. Now it's just constant nastiness.

I stopped doing zeo cause for some reason with the new tank I couldnt get the alk down below 8.2 plus with 450g of water it was getting really expensive.

I plan on dosing vinegar but I haven't started yet.

I have a gfo/carbon L spyglass reactor and recently added a kalk reactor

That's what I am using. Seems to work good. The few patches of cyano I had seem to be all but gone at this point.

It was certainly the case for me, and much more nasty and smelly skimmate too.

The super space saver reef octopus has internal pump. The other model don't and the pump is pretty big. It takes up a lot of space.
That skimz is a beast. Nice skimmer from what I saw.

When I ran bio pellets I got about same amount of skimmate but it was really dark and nasty, almost black. I had to wait until wife was gone to empty cup. Smelled the whole house up. I should just get a skimmate locker.
