IMO- Effective, reliable, easy to use. Set it and forget it. I've had no troubles. Worth the price.

What is that Rick? That's not what you told me..HAHAHAHA!!!! JK! I looked at the octopus skimmers but they weren't big enough for what i needed. They are a very well constructed and backed skimmer..easy to set up. I'm still waiting to hear from xroads on shipping the pump and then i'm off to the races with mine...i can't wait to get it hooked up and going. Thanks again.

i have a bullet II with the panworld equilivant of the iwiaki 55 , and am considering the switchover to a large Octopus Extreme.. the 300 or so.. mainly power, heat, and mait ease
so, to ask a second related question
really, how big of an octopus does one need to equal a beckett rated at 250 gallons? everything I hear is the beckett wins hands down in output.... unless you go really big on the needle..
If any one wants a really sweet beckett skimmer for cheaper than a NW.. let me know /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif it might make my decision easier :)
Though.. I keep reading up on some Beckett mods .. and man, the Bullet still might be calling my name.
