Snails

That's a lot of Turbos....

 

Everyone's needs are different, I had 6 before & they seem to knock
Corals over if they aren't glued down... One thing is for sure they did a good job cleaning.. I need to getter snails myself...
Only have a few ceriths left..

 

Might want to check on ebay for pricing. I ordered 250 for $20 a couple months ago. I like the ceriths cuz they can save themselves but they are a hermits snack as well.

 

just make sure you check to see if they can turn them self over (the snails ) if not they die , and the last order i got of turbos they were small , so also find out how big they are ....

 

The dwarf ceriths are really small. I would recommend the Florida ceriths as they will do a better job per snail of cleaning, and provide a bigger shell for a crab when they die.

 

+1 Florida Ceriths (XL Ceriths). I buy them, Turbos and Mexican Turbos (just for some variation)

Justin are they turbos or astrea snails?

 

This would probably be a great time to set up a group buy for pickup at the business meeting in 2 1/2 weeks. Let me know if this is something that others are interested in...I can help organize if needed.

+1 (with the exception of Mexican Turbos...which are much larger)  Some places will sell larger astraea as "turbo snails" but you can see the difference in the shape of the shell.  The astraea has a cone shaped shell that points up.  The turbo snail shell will look more rounded and point to the side.  The turbo snail will also be a much larger snail...many of them being nearly golf ball sized.  See the following images:
