I need help setting up my AC3 so I can remotely access it. I got it setup to access on my network but can not get the whole remote deal working. I am trying to get it working on Aquanotes for my I-touch and says Connection Failed. Firmware Update?

Willing to pay or donate some beverages for someone to come help me. I think I need to update my AC3 firmware. I tried it once and thought it worked but maybe it did not.

A few different wasy to do this Gered. Number one, the AC3 has a built in web server. To access it you must assign the Ac3 to 1. a public IP address or 2. use port forwarding on your modem to get to it. This may be chinese to you, you will have to tell me. The webserver is better than Aquanotes anyway IMO.
I might be available Sunday, although that is Fathers day isn't it?
By the way, party at my house on Saturday if anyone wants to come up/down. I am smoking a pork loin and drinking lots of beer!

Well apparently I got the remote access to work with Joe's help. Just working on the firmware now. Apparently the ac3 must be hardwired...this may have been my problem before sense it was wirelessly accessing it. And the only reason I have aquanotes is because it is offered on the Itouch. I use the webserver on my computer.

Wireless or hardwired is irrelevant since the AC3 has to have a cable to something.
    So things are working now??

Well I am using the boxes you plug into a power outlet to get a connection to my AC3. I did a quick search and someone mentioned its best to just plug your AC3 directly into the router via ethernet cable. Oh and it does not help I run a Mac so had to whip out the netbook and run the software on that. I did this and had to run the firmware software twice and got it done. I can not sit on my Itouch in front my tank and turns things on and off!!!! I guess I was a little premature on the post. Oh well I guess I owe myself a drink and I guess Joe can have one too.

Careful with X10's they can be dangerous. I have a bunch extra, plus line filters, phase signal bridge etc if you need anything. They can be a PIA.
Good luck and let me know if you need anything.
