came home from the store and something has the drain line almost completely plugged! It's not cemented into the bulkhead so I pulled it up hoping it would flush and no such luck. The real problem is my left shoulder is injured and that are is all but useless! So I'm kind of screwed here

Have you tried shoving a smaller piece of piping or air hose tubing down the drain line to see if that can help clear the obstruction?

Disaster averted! Joe hall came over and we found my newly added exquisite wrasse folded over in the plumbing halfway to the basement. Luckily I have some quick discounts in the lines and we were able to find it. All is good now. I was seriously panicked for a while! Sent Joe home happy with some free corals, bag of cheato, and a box of salt! Lol he tried to pay me for the salt but I wouldn't let him. Glad he came over because with my wacked out shoulder I was totally screwed.

Did the wrasse survive the ride?

Glad it was solved before I saw the post. I fix my drains with compressed air when I have issues :whistling:. Never had the problem with the tank tho.

I have this problem with one of my 3/4" drains right now, I think I'm going to try to poke it out.. I suspect it is a dead clownfish who went missing two or 3 weeks ago...

Gotta get a sewer snake. Just a cheap 10' one should work depending on your drain length.

I'm working on mine now, DT first floor and sump basement. I Plan to put a clean out wye under tank so I can syphon water directly into drain to the filter socks and another on the horizontal section in the basement. Never know what the hell could happen.

I think I'm going to refine the intake so nothing large can enter. Possibly by putting a large strainer from brs on it.
