spring fest

Can we get this on the front page?

 

"Both" fest in 1 year were not over there. SF14 was dsm and FF14 wad there. SF15 there FF15 Des moines. I know what you meant though /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif.

 

Ill be more then happy to help its not that hard except for when its crunch time the week of... let me know. I would have ran for bod but im sure i wouldn't have gotten it considering i was told i was gonna be trustee of the dsm area but since i do things a little different i was told i couldnt... who knows maybe next year......

 

I took a year off as well. But I do stand behind the decsions made.

Lol i know nik i just want to be clear that trying to get both in one area would be wrong and that there are plenty of people who will help around here to keep one

But is easy for people to whine & complain when they arent doing all the work themselves. DM has had a hard time even keeping a trustee, which is step 1 in hosting a fest. If people arent willing to step up and help with that, how are they going to put on a fest that requires a 100+ hours of volunteer time?

 

Craig i like when people are blunt and straight to the point. I know how to plan a fest.. did it in the summer 15 tables vendors from utah, Minnesota, ohio, Missouri got raffles from different websites and an additional 3 sponsors for the club all by myself. I have stepped up and said i would help. I also showed interest in the trustee position when i was training for it with zoobie... i will help in anyway i can.

So when DM starts planning FF soon, there will be shortage of volunteers.



BTW, that starts very soon as date, location, speakers, banner, etc needs to be done by Spring Fest so it can be advertised there.

 

The thing i dont understand is they say im to blunt so wouldn't be a good candidate for the board yet craig you are the same as me very direct and blunt... you have a board tag....

Springfest is already in the works for location ect

Not sure who said that as I was not on the BOD last year, but like I said anyone can run.

 

We have a meeting tonight and that will be a point of discussion. We are in the works of getting a venue.

Im not into tattle telling but it was definitely said. I was told by zoobie when he put up a thread saying who wants to be trustee i was the only one who said that they did. So he messaged me saying that he wanted to start training me for it. Well the the president put up that zoobie was leaving and bam i didnt have it anymore nor was i in for it... Can you nominate yourself? Cause i guess ill do that next time...
