Cure Live rock, check. Get new stand to hide refugium for the lady, check. Finally, I think I'm ready for some fish. I was hoping some of you would have some ideas for some starter fish. Currently have a 55 with live rock only, water tests ok. Does anyone perhaps have any start fish they'd be willing to part with. I'd throw a few bucks your way.
    Thanks!

Start with a piece of shrimp and then once the tank cycles, get a fish you really want to have. They're too hard to catch to get something you don't want.

Did your tank cycle as you cured your live rock?

This is what I started my tank with. They are pretty cheat, but colorful. They aren't as aggressive as other Damsels and don't get as big.

I'll give you some advice, Nothing good happens fast!
You need to decide the direction you're going with the tank. Corals or fish only, Aggressive, semi aggressive, peaceful or a mix.
After deciding the direction you're going then start stocking with the least aggressive fish working up to the most aggressive so that the least aggressive have a chance to establish themselves before the more aggressive fish have a chance to rule the roost. Don't let size fool you, Small doesn't always mean peaceful... A sixline wrasse is small but can claim half your aquarium as it's sole territory and pester any other fish to death.
Many fish are jumpers so make sure you have the top enclosed before adding them...Nothing worse than finding an expensive fish looking like beef jerky and stuck to the carpet.

I went out and grabbed four yellow tails. Two of them is pretty clever at hiding. At first I thought one died but I couldn't find the body so I finally turned over every rock I had and sure enough it was underneath one. I'd like to go the coral route with some fish. Will some clowns and these yellow tails co-exist alright? How long should I have fish only before starting to dabble in the coral world?
