Freshwater stingrays for sale. These are motoro stingrays. I have 2 males and 4 females available. Price for the rays are $100 each. For pictures of them look at the photos section of this site and go to the check this out forum.. Or you could just use the link. One ray is already sold.

What size tank do these guys need anyway? Might help to put up some basic requirements so people know what they would be getting into. Don't want these going to an unsuitable home.

Buy some Jeremy.. Gered your right they will live pretty good in a 55 for about 6 to 8 months, a 75 or 90 for about 1-1.5 years and 125 to 180 for 3 years plus. Most people once they get there rays about 3 to 5 years old make their own indoor ponds or pools which are fairly cheap to do and look really great. Just ask Jeremy.. By the way these numbers are all based on how well and often they are fed.

They are a very neat animal to have and everybody seems to enjoy them when they see them.

Can you keep any other fish with them or just sting rays?

I used to keep Datnioides (tiger pertch), and arowana's with mine.  They are cooler to keep in species only tank though because then (with some luck) you can get them to spawn.  If I had the space I would love to set my indoor pond back up and get more but i need to get through school first.

Thanks for the reply Jeremy its nice to have someone with experience with FS rays justify some of the things I am saying. Its a toss up for what works with rays. I personally prefer not to keep any fish with them. But Ive often thought about doing a stingray/discus tank or stingrays with peacock bass. Nothing too aggressive or territorial like african cichlids. Little non aggressive fish always work like clown loaches and such until the rays get big enough to eat them. I seem to see most people have what Jeremy had with arowanas especially. Some keep red tail catfish or any other hybrid cats with their rays. I have even seen gar with rays. But I would recommend doing research on a fish you might want to keep with them if you are unsure of the aggresiveness of the fish. Also plecos are usually ok when they are small but the bigger ones (I would say 5+ inches) will suck on the rays and stress them out. Hope this helps a little bit.

Its been awhile since I have updated this, but I still have 4 of these guys. Still asking $100 a piece. I feel now would be a better time to buy them, because they are trained on a variety of foods and are all eating really good. All of them are eating earth worms or cut up nightcrawlers, mysis shrimp, blood worms, and a couple of them are eating small pieces of cut up shrimp. Their disc are about 4 to 4 1/2 inches. If you need any other information just ask thanks

They are currently in a 55 which I think is too small, but Im used to 180s to 300 plus. I think they will be fine in a 55 for a couple more months or a 75 for a little bit longer. Remember they need width and length not height.

I have an empty basement that it is ok if things get wet /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif I am thinking a stack of 2x4's and a pondliner would be a good start
