Ok my tank is only a couple weeks away from being here and while there is so much to do before I am ready to add any kind of livestock, I want to start thinking of my fish.

This ended up being a 30x30x16 tank and will be a SPS dominant setup. 70gal display.

As of now I am thinking of keeping it simple. About 6 chromies and a pistol shrimp gobie pair.

Seeing how this is rimless and shallow I dont think my favorite fish, wrasse will be in order.

What would you suggest? Also still struggling on flow and lighting options.

I would still add one or two six lines. They do such a good job keeping the corals clean of pests, and they dont jump as much as other wrasses.

    Yasha goby/pistol shrimp

a pair of african flame back angels
    pair of flame angels

four will be very active in the tank, and will also help keep some of the algae picked off the rocks.

    swissguard basslets

    orange spotted prawn gobies

    Neon dottyback pair

Well, your chomis will start dying one by one, and the other fish are fairly small.

I do like the angels....I will have to be sure the tank is setup for about 6 months before I add something like that and add them all at once.

Hey Mike, have you decided on closed loop or power heads?
As for lighting, are you going with T5 or MH since you didn't like LEDs on your old 90?

Im going to do power head just out of ease. I dont think a mp10 will work since the glass is 1/2 so probably a tunze or 2.

As far as light I m leaning towards a 250watt MH 15k probably in a pendant hanging over the tank. I am just not sure if 1 will give enough coverage.

I would definitely do 2 power heads regardless of which brand you go with.
As for lighting, 1 MH setup will probably cover a 24x24 area effectively for a mixed reef. But since you are going with an SPS dominant tank, you will probably have to add an additional MH setup unless you plan it out by keeping your SPS towards the middle of your tank. JMO.

yeah and realistically the only way to do that is to find a fixture or use the clamp on ones.
