Is there a cheap device to test stray voltage in your tank? I use a grounding probe but would be interested to see if I have much.

I wouldn't call em cheap but a multimeter is about the only way I know of. They run in the range of $40 to $500. Ask around, if you know any handymen I bet they'd have one. Make sure you test AC volts too, not DC volts. Oh and take out the ground probe when you test. if the ground probe is the shortest path to ground then your meter might not read as much voltage as is in the tank.
