I'm looking to design a new sump for my 110. I remodeled the basement and space is not an issue ( I have a fish room). I was thinking of using seperate tanks for the refugium, skimmer and return.Does anyone have any designs or thoughts? I'm open to ideas or pictures. Thanks!

I'm not sure about separate tanks but I built a 135 gallon sump out of a single tank I purchased off Craigslist and then had glass cut to build the sections I wanted (skimmer, frag, refugium and return). I have < $200 total in the sump. Love having a basement sump.

I'm not sure if you're thinking of doing filter socks, but if you are, I can make some pretty good suggestions on how to do it without noise, with efficiency, and without affecting your ATO.

Not to hyjack too much... Was fishing on maffit and heard 1st, then saw a light green Lamborghini headed to the houses back there. Yours? /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif

If only! He lives in Greenbriar -the development next to ours - across the street from my brother (I don't know him personally). He also has a Maserati.

How is the fishing at Maffit? I haven't fished there for probably 20 years.

Shore fishing there isn't good unless you like catching little fish, good for kids. They started allowing kayaks with permit, and that is hit and miss for bass. My 1st time out this year I got a true 20" trophy, but it's a hard lake to fish, and I didn't get anything else the few other times I made it out. Lots of little guys and sometimes a big one, but not many in between. I talked with a perch fisherman and they had great luck for what it's worth.

Love the sump and having everything in one place. Giving me ideas my wife probably won't like. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif
