I'm about to build a sump to go under my 60g cube but I have a few questions about it before I start. I have never built a sump before so I need to know what to use. I have a 20g tall but may get a 29g, either way I need to know what to use for the baffels and what to use to secure them in place..

I am looking for some ideas and any info to help me make this a successful build..

    Thanks

Thanks, theres some good info in that link..

What I need to know now is, what do I use for the baffles and what do I use to glue them in place.. I see some people use glass and some people use acrylic. Whats the benefits of each..

    Thanks

Glass baffles siliconed in place will be the best bet with a glass tank, just use aquarium safe silicone. There are different options out there for silicone, but I usually buy the all glass stuff sold at the online retailers that way I am 100% certain its the correct stuff.

Many people will use acrylic baffles in a glass tank, but the bond with silicone and acrylic isn't that strong. It could lead to a possible future failure.

Use glass baffles and silicone with a glass tank, and acrylic baffles properly solvent welded in place with an acrylic tank.
