   I am thinking about changing out my skimmer I have a SRO 5000 Int and it just doesn't seem to do what I think it should and adjusted it every way for a year now. So I was thinking of trying out the swc 250 a1 or swc 300 cones, Ive had swc skimmer in past and did very well but that was years ago. So just seeing in anyones using these and any adivce.    What size system do you have it on?
   I think if you oversize a skimmer too much you won't get the optimal performance out of it. I have the SRO 5000 also, and when I first set up my system it seemed to occasionally only skim well, the rest of the time it didn't seem to do much. Now i have a much higher bioload and it seems to be much more consistent and produce a nice stinky skimmate all the time.
