Well im still kinda of new but I have had my 12 gal setup for about a year or so now.  We it has really grown and I am running out of room, so I ended up getting a 28 gallon Biocube from Gered, and new rock from Chris(Live, but I let dry out and then power washed).  Well I would like to switch things over soon as I get the top made which will be this weekend.  My question is what is the easiest way to switch things over.  I got new sand, and rock, but don't wanna set up two tanks to let one cycle before I can put stuff, does anyone have any other ideas.

I've moved my 55gal twice and both times I used as much of the old water as possible. I also didn't have any SPS or similarly difficult livestock at the time. If you manage to use all of your old water you'll probably be a little less than half the water you need, which isn't too bad but not great. Each time I moved I used StressZyme to help cycle the tank without a huge ammonia or nitrite spike. If I were you I would keep the other tank running while the new one cycles, if that's possible. If not the best advice I can give is to use all your old water and StreeZyme or similar product.
