Well was starting a test overflow/ drain then found out one ot the bulkheads was cracked, great so I drained the overflow out and removed the standpipe. Now here is my question, the tank is less then a 1/4" out of level in 6' but because of this only one overflow wants to flow. Now when I replace this bulkhead and standpipe I am thinking about moving the standpipe up about 1/4-3/8" to compensate to the slight out of levelness of the tank. I ahve releveled it 3 times and this is as close as I seem to get before doing the back and forth thing. Would my adjusting the standpipe slightly fix this as this would allow the water level to be slightly higher in this overflow box?

What are you using for shims, Craig?

Composite shims as they don't compress like cedar shims do

They are wedge shape so I can stack them as needed to get the right thickness if I keep releveling jsut have to drain the tank again to do so and need to line up som help to do it.

I used a spare piece of wood with 2 flat edges like scrap 2x4 to hammer shims under my tank without hitting the floor and damaging it. Have you tried this?

SW CR not far from pets playhouse. Tank isn't that far out of level that I would need 2x4s, from end to end atmost 1/2" total in 6', I have it shimmed some just need to shim a bit more, you want to come help? lol

i feel your pain. the location of my tank was incredibly out of wack! it was over 1/2 in off from one end to the other over 30in. i had to stack 2 shims. then cut a mini wedge from a 3rd and hammer it in place(since the tank was full) it wasnt easy but i finally got it dead level.
