Tank tour

It was a good time, it was nice to see some new tanks.

Thanks to everyone who came even with the hazardous driving conditions.

To bad I couldnt make it to your stop Brian. I stopped by but it was probably too late, didnt see anyone around. Couple of guys found excuses to go to jail which put me behind a little bit. It was a good turn out and I was glad to meet some new people.

Thank you to all who opened up their homes to invite us all in to see their tanks. I enjoyed myself a lot and feel like I got some great advice and ideas on where to go with my own setup. First thing I did when I got home was clean my own tank.

I am a very new member of only a month or so. The fee is only $20 to join. Let me say, the tour alone was worth the membership fee, but the fee I paid has already made a return because of the poker run. I finished the day with two pair and won a $20 gift certificate to one of the area GIRS sponsers. Only one month a member and already got my fees back for the year. Can't wait to see what the rest of the year has to offer!

Yea it was a good time and we had a pretty good turnout. It was really nice to see JB come up from Marion(we don't bite!). Thanks again JB for the two frags(more like colonies) that you gave me!

I look forward to seeing all of you on our next event. I'm going to finalize some things after work tonight and I'll post all the GIRS dates to observe in a new thread.

Yes, thanks to everyone who let us come into their homes to see the tanks. There are definitely some awesome tanks, both big and small, in the WL/CF area. I'm glad I was finally able to make it up on tank tour day!

Now I can't wait for our next CR tank tour!

I had a pretty good time although I was a little disappointed with the lack of beer drinking and the cards DavidM kept dealing me were crap. It was nice to see some new tanks. A few things I learned on this tour. When turning around in a driveway, make sure there is actually a driveway there and not a ditch. Another thing, keep some tow ropes in your vehicle in case you (or your friends) have problems the formentioned item. Lastly, Canadians say "A" alot and you know your at a good party if someone brings in the lawnmower and mows the carpet for you. (inside joke)

 

Well after joining the club last year I was able to make my first tank tour.Along with my wife I can say we had a great time, met some great people and saw some very nice tanks..Thanks to everyone that opened up their house so we could view their tanks....

I did order most of everthing else need to get my tank up and running today, so mine will be progressing soon....

As for eating in Janesville saturday night .... The steak was good,they were out out vegies,they ran out of clean plates,saw the help break two drink glasses and saw two of the help get in an arguement behind the bar. I did get a free silver bullet. But would be hard to rate the place any higher than a 2 out of 5.....

LOL, I hear ya..... But when the steak is hand picked and cooked yourself... That part is hard to screw up...

 

It was nice to meet new people involved in the area with nice tanks. Maybe a carload of us should go to the next CR tank tour. Brian, put me in line for a milli frag too. It was cool to see such a big tank with nice lights over it. I'd have it crammed full of coral.
I can't believe my pair of jacks got 4th place. What are the odds?
For the record Josh, I did not start drinking beer until after I put my Jeep in the ditch. Thanks for pulling me out guys, owe you one.
