   You have to upload the photo to a photo sharing site, like Imgur, Tinypic etc. Then you share the URL ending in ".jpg". You click on the Image toolbar link above where you type your posts. The popup window provides an Image URL line and you paste the address of the shared photo into that line. Make sure you copy the link that ends in .jpg from the image hosting site.
