I happened to spot one of these at Target and picked one up a couple weeks ago for $3.

It is hands-down the ultimate glass cleaning cloth.  I've used microfiber cloths and everything else but they just don't do a very good job, usually leaves streaks or smudges on glasses and tank glass.
I first tried it on my glasses, and could immediately tell this was the
BOMB.  After mag-floating my tank and wiping the outside down with a
damp cloth and dry cloth like usual, there is usually still a slight
haze here and there from the salt that I can't seem to wash away on the
first pass.  So I pulled out the glass cleaning cloth and BAM.  Instant shine.  Next time, I skipped the wet/dry towel step and BAM BAM.  Instant shine.
So do yourself a huge favor and spend $3 on one of these next time you see one.  They're friggin awesome.

kind of a side note here: a good alternative is to use Windex and newspaper. works like a charm and cheep /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

I have always shied away from windex though because of the ammonia. You don't really want to spray that on directly on your glass or on the newspaper while near the tank is what i understood. And never on acrylic.

I always use damp towel and clean the glass. Yes it does takes little efforts to wipe things off the glass to make it squeaky clean. With your tip would save me alot of efforts. Ha. Will let you know what was the results after getting cleaning cloth.

Fosters and smith polishing/cleaning spray works really good as a cleaner i bet using the cloth and cleaner together would work even better

It's a soft cleaning cloth, so I can't think of any reason why it would not be acrylic safe.

As many things may work but, I gotta throw this out there for my wife, she sells Norwex cleaning products now, and I got to say they are perdy amazing! Makes glass look really transparent. No streaks just nicely polished glass. They are anti-bacterial microfiber cloths, the fibers are 1/100th of a human hair, and good for the environment only use water. No chemicals at all. Backed with a 2yr warranty. That's not like a regular microfiber cloth. She uses one with water for a washer and another dried as a polisher. Anybody use these before? www.norwex.com
