I set the tank up this past spring and told myself I would never want to do a huge mod like drilling. Well, now I am considering it, and here are a couple reasons why:
    1. I want a sump,fuge (duh!)
    2. Noise. I currently have a skimmer in the middle chamber and with the water cascading, bubbles popping, etc. it just isn't as silent as I'd like it. I am also not a fan of suffing sponges and foam everywhere the water trickles to keep it silent.
So I am thinking of a beananimal system. I have heard them first hand and they are phenomenal. I do have some concerns:
    1. I am kind of stumped how to do this logistically. I can drill the very bottom of the back glass, but then I would still have the waterfall effect making noise (chamber one dumping into chamber two). I can drill higher up, but then there is all this dead space at the very bottom of the second and third chamber collecting detritus.
    2. I've got a bunch of livestock and don't want to drain the tank. I know it's been done (maybe not specifically on a BC29). Am I crazy?
    3. I have all my electronics tucked away neatly below the tank. Not to keen on leaving electronics dangling above water and around all that humidity and salt spray. Still, I also don't want them dangling around outside the tank making my eyes bleed.
    4. I forgot that one right now.
