I have a security camera on the side of my 180g SPS reef which snaps a pic every 10 minutes. I decided to take a stab at throwing some together for a timelapse video. I ended up just picking a picture from the same time each day over the 6 months I've had the camera running. It's certainly not perfect but I was kind of surprised to see how much growth I actually got out of certain corals. I was also surprised to see how much the rocks have shifted. Enjoy!

    That is really really cool!!!!

Can you tell us how to do it. Where do you get a camera like that and set it up?

Thanks everyone! I have an asante webcam mounted on the side of the tank. The software allows me to set it to store pictures on a drive on one of my computers on the network. I just picked out a picture from each day from around the same time and threw it into windows movie maker and set the picture time to .05 seconds each. It was really pretty simple.

    Here's the camera i have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16881175003&Tpk=asante%20voyager%20smartbot

Another cool thing about the camera is it allows me to pull up a live feed on my android.

Cool to see the growth that way. My favorite part was watching the rock in the middle shift

That's pretty sweet and I look forward to the next 6 months. You can also sort of see the yellow tangs swim pattern.
