So I got a nice looking crocea clam at Spring Fest, and right now as I'm looking at it, there is a tiny (as in 3/8th of an inch) critter with a two part shell, that looks like an oyster shell.  It's sitting on top of the clams shell, and it has what looks like a little clear tentacle searching around the clam's shell.  Is it an oyster?  I have some pictures, but I doubt that they will turn out.  I'll upload them tomorrow.  It's very mobile.  Anyway, looks neat.

Nope, not an oyster...could be a pyramidal (sp) snail...if it is, get it off pronto!  That is my guess and if it is the snail, it can kill your clam/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif

Its a barnacle. It will more then likely die soon since you dont have enough nutrients in the water to sustain it. They are filter feeders like an NPS coral.
