I'm thinking of getting a single 70 gallon aquarium and doing away with my three aquarium setup. What do you guys think?
Right now I have 3 aquariums so the biggest issue is merging livestock. What can I keep / what must I part with? Suggestions please.
    15 gallon:
    One Maldivian clarkii
    29 gallon:
Two Gold Banded Maroon Clownfishes (M/F Pair)
    Long nose hawkish
    30 gallon:
    One Yellow Foxface Rabbitfish
    One Lawnmower Blenny
    Two Firefish Gobies
    Two Oceallis Clowns
One Blue Damsel (Harmless runt of his fry)

The clowns would be an issue in one tank since they are paired but thats the only issue i forsee.

You think I could keep all my fish in one tank if I part with my Oceallis clowns and my Maldivian clarkii?

I would just part with the clarkii and keep your gold banded pair an everything else. Then you would only be down 1 fish.

Oops didn't see the ocellaris pair. I would part with them too, I think the gold banded maroons are cooler IMO/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

My girlfriend said everything else can go but the "Cy-Clowns" must stay! Haha! I'll part with my other clowns if I go forward with this.

Your new 100 gallon tank, could be room enough for two pairs, 1 on one side and 1 on the other. Specially if you add them at the same time. I think they say 40 gallons per pair of clowns or something like that.

If the clowns host in anything, they wont leave it for very long, so just make sure they are spread out far away. But yes you might need to keep the Clarkii in another tank. If you had gotten the 70 gallon, I would agree with the above, but since you told us yesterday it was the 100 gallon. you could try it...

Pretty sure three kinds of clowns won't work. I have a 5' 100 and it 100% didn't work, 4percs, had to put others in other tanks. The bonded pairs will go to war. You can get away with three of the same type if they have been with each other since juvenile, but two pairs of different types is asking for trouble. Avoid the headaches and keep the ones your lady likes [IMG]
