I fear that I have made the classic mistake of overloading the tank with too much to fast.  As some of you know, I just completed rebuilding a restaurant tank to salt water.  I soaked dry rock for about 5 weeks, adding about a gallon of my own tank water every week.  I added all the fish over about a three week period.  Everything was looking good for a while and I thought I was doing everything right and now I have a huge spike in water perameters.  My amonia, nitrates, and nitrites are all through the roof.  Ive been doing about a 20% water change every other day.  So far I havnt lost anything but the fish do not look happy and I fear the worst for a couple that look particularly bad.  I just hope everything will balance out here shortly or else I might go crazy.  Dead fish in a restaurant do go over well.

All fish accounted for? Can people access the tank in anyway? People "feeding" the fish could be an issue.

Is it possible for you to get the fish out of there? In someone's tank or in quarantine? Doesn't sound like they're going to hold up too well.

Any way you can add some more established live rock? When I've had a tank crash, besides the water changes, the next biggest help was having lots of seasoned live rock already in the tank. That good bacteria living on the rock will bring your parameters down a lot.......water from your other tank won't do much, imo, as most of the beneficial bacteria lives on the surface of things (like live rock) and not so much in the water column. Live and learn I guess, we've all made mistakes in this hobby. Hopefully everything will pull through for you!

Well I did add quite a bit of my own refugium rubble to the sump and in about a couple of days the levels came down to acceptable perameters. I lost one banner fish and four anthias. So far everyone else is looking good. I saw a few white spots on the fish after they were so stressed. I made a batch of frozen food and added garlic and vitamin C. The fish love it and seem to be looking good. The spots are going away on there own. I hope it wasnt ich. They didnt seem to have the twitching thing going on. I think it was just something on their slime coat. I did find a way to eraticate xenia though. The high amonia levels knocked them out. Oh well I have a ton more at home to add.
