   I receive every topic in my email. Is there a way to turn this off so I am not subscribed to every topic.

   If you go to the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Area forum (where you posted this), there is a check box that says "Subscribe to this Forum". That means that you get an email for every post in every topin in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Area section of the forums. Just uncheck that box.
