My wife was driving on mt. Vernon rd and she was traveling the speed limit. 50ish mph. And a LARGE buck came out of the ditch. She hit him head on. Thankfully she is ok. The jeep honestly doesnt look bad at all but, both fenders, grill, bumper, hood, radiator, and ac condenser have all been damaged. They are sending it des moines. I asked why anf they said because of its age 2000 make Jeep model grand cherokee limited and mileage, 175k they are gonna total it.... im hoping there is a buy back option as i can throw a $450 radiator in it and have a cheap winter beater. But on a positive i finally get my F250!!!!

and the thing that stinks about the avalanche just like the express vans...you get a 4l85e transmission rather than an allison like in the pickups other than that i do like the big block avalanches and suburbans

I know of a couple people that have the 8.1 and I don't recall them having any issues. Beast of an engine, but if you don't frequently tow large loads I don't really see the point. My stepdad traded his for a ford F350. The dealership had a guy lined up to buy it, and the old truck drove off the lot faster than the new one LOL.
