I've been thinking about getting triggers for my reef tank. I have a full cleaning crew and mostly softies in the tank. I would like a few triggers in there. What kind would be the best to look at to fit my needs? Oh the tank is a 46bow. Thanks for the input.
              Thanks Eric

most triggers if not all will destroy your CuC. The only one i could say for sure wouldn't would be the crosshatch trigger costing around 500 a pair. Even then triggers get pretty big and i dont think anything smaller then a 180 would suffice in the long term

I thought triggerfish needed more swimming room, like 75+ for the smaller ones and eat corals. I would have thought triggers would not be a good fit in a 46 bow front with corals. If anyone knows otherwise, I would maybe looking for one in the future. Lol

I agree with Jim - I can't think of any trigger that would fit in that small of a tank... but if you are getting a larger tank then the blue jaw, pink tail or niger (or cross hatch as noted above) would be the *safest* bet for a reef tank.  I personally have had all the first three in a reef with no issues....

I've got a blue throat trigger that doesn't touch anything. They is everything from corals, clams, CUC, etc. in the tank.
