Has anyone tried the Triton testing service? I was thinking about getting this done. I have seen results posted on reef2reef. I was wondering after you send them in and you set up an account how long till you get you results. And if you tested with your test kits? Which tests kits and we're they close?
If I remember right mpivit and hart both had these done. How did you like this service?
When I do order them I will let everyone know cause they give discounts on multiple tests. Unique Corals sells them.

I think their response would have been pretty quick but I sent them in on December 13, right before they went on winter Holliday for a month. I got my results on Jan 21 or so.
Their Mag test was the same (or very close to) my red sea test kit. Calcium was the same as my API.
It provided a cool picture of my water chemistry. I was surprised at how little my trace elements depleted after 2 years.
I was happy overall with how easy the process was. I also liked that they tell you exactly what and how much of each element to add to normalize parameters.

Wish I could take a month off for winter holiday lol.
I am kind of interested in my trace elements results and to see where calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium are at compared to my red sea kits. I used to dose a few trace elements Ike iodide, strongtium, iron and potassium. But I haven't done that since last spring. Just kind of curious to see where everything is at with just doing water changes. I use Aqua Vitro Salinity salt.
I will probably order a kit on Friday.

I sent in tests of my old tank along with reefcrystals and esv fresh made salt. I posted it on reef2reef and really started quite the conversation - ultimately I talked with the president of esv and they confirmed my results and changed their mixture because of it. A cool testing tool to have for hobbiests.

Hart - I'd be interested in the results you got on the triton test from reef crystals. Can you post a link to the thread page in reef2reef? Or post the results here??
