I could not find the name of this coral but I have a coral that looks like this image that we brought back from Mexico many years ago. I want to put it in my tank and I was wondering if anyone else has this in their tank. I am worried that I would get a lot of diatoms and junk sitting inside it and causing dead water spots. Anyone think this coral is safe for a tank? I don't have a blenny but I know from on line they like these kind of spots. Just thought it would look neat.

Those look more like a cluster of barnacles rather than a tube coral

    Those look like barnacles.

They are really cool for tanks, especially if you have small fish. They love them!!!!

As long as it isnt painted like this one. Just soak it for a few days first, rinse a few times and you have a perfect fish & invert home.

I had a nice barnacle piece in my tank for awhile. I ended up getting broke into several pieces so I tossed it. It did look cool, and I had fish always hanging out in there.

You know how cool that would look with 10-15 nano fish darting in and out?

Makes me want to get on ebay and find one

I have quite a few barnacle clusters in my tank. Got them fairly cheap on eBay. Been meaning to get some barnacle blennys to live in them.
