That is really cooll!!! I had a plate coral die last August, shortly after getting it. I threw it out after a month. I wish I had known this and had saved it longer!

    That's awesome.

Didn't Dave have a similar experience? I think I remember reading a thread on that a month or two ago.

my dad had one that died pretty recently, but it was only in the tank for a short amount of time... what kind of death allows for this to happen? because I'm assuming that this doesn't happen every time a plate dies...

That is really cool. Yep, we have one that has 100+ babies on it. Here is the link to what I posted: http://greateriowareefsociety.org/F...fault.aspx

Not a lot of change to share - they are getting a bit bigger but nowhere near the size of what BigB posted. A few have popped off and we've glued them to a plug to keep them from getting "lost" although some are loose in the sump so we'll see how that goes. Most are still attached. We lost this plate as a result of a "kalk incident" in September and we recently lost 2 additional plates that finally sucummed to it as well - they just never recovered from it. We will keep them around to see if they also propagate in the same way.

If anyone needs to find an adoptive home for their new baby plates, I'll throw my hat into the ring /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif
