Ok. I have an older apogee 200 meter and the upgraded club apogee 500.
I took some readings under t5, halide, and led lights.
The t5 was taken out of water under 3 different bulbs. All lights in fixture wereally on but most of the light hitting the sensor was under bulb listed.
The halide was directly under the bulb but all lights in fixture were on.

The led was directly under a radion xr30 gene pro.

    Readings
    39w ATI Purple plus bulb
Under the 200 it was 503
Under the 500 it was 584

    39w ATI Blue plus bulb
    200 it was 449
    500 it was 508

Under an ATI True Actinic 39w
    200 was 363
    500 was 320

    Under a 250 watt Radium
    200 was 1758
    500 was 1760

    Under Radion puck
    200 was 570
    500 was 515

These readings are just comparisons nothing scientific nor was anything measured out of accuracy. I held the sensors on the screen top of my tanks. The sensors were held side by side so I am sure there is a small margin of error. I only did this for a quick comparison since the new model is supposed to be a more accurate reading in the blue spectrum and better readings for led lights.

I don't have my data in front of me...but I noticed very little if any difference in the new meter too. If anything I think it was similar to yours @jeremy@jeremy and was a little lower. It was my understanding the values were supposed to be higher..because it would recognize more values from the less? My values were about 800-1000 right under the kessils... and about 200-250 8" in the water. With 4 x 24w t5s running also it brought the same areas up to about 350.

I know @Fence13@Fence13 said he had a similar experience too of not seeing much of a change...

Yeah. I figured there would be more differnce with the led. The biggest difference was the blue and actinic t5.

Now @tangers@tangers and I both run Kessils, so I wonder if there is a difference in readings from the old to the new for people with other fixtures, such as radions or hydras. Hopefully someone else will comment in when they've read theirs.

I have LED's and I happen to take a reading just a few weeks ago with the groups 200. I hope to borrow the upgraded machine once it is available. I will post my findings here.

Curious what the reading will be if you test with just the Blues and violets etc. under the radion fixture? I thought the blue and lower wavelengths of light were supposed to be where the big difference is. Which might be why the difference under the T5s is so much.

Yeah I was suprised on the blue aND actinic t5 readings. Like I said. Could be a margin of error. I let the fixtures run for a couple hours with all bulbs running.
I just put sense directly under bulb. Roughly 10 inches away. Could have been picking up light from other bulbs also. It was just a rough measurement.
The Radion ewas in radiant color light program.
My t5 was under 2 different fixtures. Both ATI powermodules. 1 has 4 blue plus 1 coral plus 1 purple plus.
The other has 1 blue plus 5 true actinic and a blue reef Brite let strip.
My halidea fixture has 2 250 watt radium bulbs on blue wave m80 ballast. 4 t5. 2 blue plus 2 purple plus and 2 blue reef Brite led bars on fixture.
So a lot of light just quick comparison readings. I will find some time and do some readings with blue and violet led sometime.
