I am upgrading my 75 to a 120 tank, I have about 50 pds of dry rock curing in a 55 tank in the basement. My concern is would I get a cycle by combining the rock together, I have been using the water out of my 75 water changes to do water changes in the 55.

I think whenever you change tanks you will get a cycle of some sort till everything rebalances. When I upgraded tanks, I reused all my rock and as much existing water as possible, never had an ammonia spike but the tank did go through other issues like diatom and cyano until everything balanced out. It took about a month for the algaes to show up after I upgraded, and another two months for them to go away.
