User Profile - Location

    Does anyone agree that it would be nice if users would update there location profile? Almost all forums that I see has a reply that reads "Where are you located?." I think there is an option to allow users to display there location (city) but not other personal information, right? I think it is a helpful tool to find other reefers in your area. Just a thought...

    Click on "My Settings" then click "Edit" and fill in the "Location" field.

    Problem is some people don't do it. It would nice if this could be required and then send a PM to all to try to get the current population to fill it in.

    I don;t see a "my settings" tab /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif

    Bela,
    Across the top of every page is a tab called "My GIRS". If you hover over that tab with your mouse a drop down box will appear. Click on the My Account/Profile and it is here you will find the "My Setting" and other profile buttons/links.

    I have my address in there but it still doesnt show up.

    It shouldnt be this hard

    I did all that now, and input my city and state, however it doesn't come up. The address (which I left blank) is the only one that I am able to make public, or at least the only one with a drop down tab to make it public. Do I have to put an address in? Don;t really want to make a full address public search for anyone on the net LOL

    I followed JB's directions and didn't have any problems. Try 'em, they work! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

    actually i didnt ever see anything that said location. I found where to put my address in & did that.

    It works.  I just changed mine to say 51 miles from Joel.

    You're right, it shows now. But I swear it didn't earlier. did you have to put 51 miles in for city and from Joel in State?

    No but I couldn't think of anything better to put in there when I was filling it out.
