Here's tenatively what I had in mind for this year:
Jan- MBI & Captive Breeding/2011 Holiday Party
Feb- Lighting Options and LED Analysis (technical and biological review)
    Mar- Springfest (des moines)
    Apr- CR Tank Tour
    May- Plumbing Seminar
June- Sandbed Biology and Refugia (nutrients and mesobiology)
    July- Social/Picnic/BBQ
    Sept- Auction/photo contest
    Oct- IC tank tour
Nov- Fall Fest? (I figure I may spearhead the event this year)
    Dec- Christmas Party
Again this is really really rough I don't know the specific dates yet. Anybody else wanna float a few topic ideas or have some input?

good call, I wanted to do that during december too but we didn't get to it. I'm done with college now so this year should be very productive in our GIRS chapter. Also I wanted to make those floating view boxes out of some scrap acrylic. I think I'm going to commission Bud to cut us the pieces and we'll all make one, probably combine that project with the plumbing meet.

I'd like something on photography so I can learn to set my camera to take some decent shots of the tank. I like the DIY food too. Might be willing to offer up my kitchen for that one./DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/unsure.gif

DIY food sounds good. Do I need to pay any dues to attend these? If so, please let me know who to seend it to. I'm new to this forum.
