Hello, Would like to buy good sized chunk (a handful or two) of Caulerpa, any species, for my 37 gallon Fish-only tank.  Will pay at least $5.
This is for an established tank with 2 Clownfish, 1 Royal Gramma, all three years old now.

    I'm in Marion, IA.
    Thank you.

    I would be
very wary of Caulerpa as it has a habit of going asexual - In case your unaware
    - most macro algae goes asexual as a last ditch effort if it’s not getting the nutrients
it needs. However it does not always have to be "Almost dead for this to
happen" what will happen if it does go Asexual you will experience a
dramatic drop in PH possibly endangering all of your inhabitants. Most people
choose cheato because it rarely goes asexual in a tank environment and it is
common for caulerpa to go sexual.

Either way what you choose to do is up to you, I'm just trying to help you make an informed decision

I second the Cheato recommendation, especially if this is going into a display tank. Caulerpa will spread very rapidly if nutrients are available. It is also difficult to completely remove, if you should wish to in the future.

I have Caulerpa brachypus, Caulerpa taxifolia, and Cheatomorpha in CR. Shoot me a PM if you're still looking.

Thanks Rutherford for the info. In the past when I had some and it was doing well I would tear out a few handfuls once in awhile. I think this time I will see if i can buy some Chaeto from Reefer_bud with a little Caulerpa just for variety. I'll make sure to keep the Caulerpa well under control. Thanks again!!
