I need to add something to my tank for water movement, I am getting detritus buildup in aread. I have large rocks in my scape that might hinder the flow of water. I am looking at an mp10 or a gyre. I know it says the gyre leaves virtually no dead spots so if there are large rocks in the way, does it still do a good job pushing the water around the rocks? also my tank is rimless so worried about water being pushed out of the tank. there is only about an inch of space at the top. I was thinking about adding small pumps at the back of the tank but would like to minimize all the clutter and extra equipment.

    Thoughts?

I think a gyre in the true gyre operational mode would not leave many dead spots, but it depends I think on the rock scape and size of tank

the gyre definitely does a good job of moving most of the water in the tank, but depending on the rockwork you could still have deadspots. In my tank the problem spots are behind the rockwork next to each overflow. I added a couple of the wp10s to fill in those areas and it works pretty good.
My tank is a 250 DD and I have a gyre 150 on one side, MP40 on the opposite, and a wp10 in each back corner towards the bottom near the overflows. I'd like to eventually get a second gyre, but my money tree hasn't been producing much lately.

I have a 65 and the back corners are also the problem. Thinking a gyre for my 75 and move my mp10 to the 65 and add small powerheads in the back corners?

    Sounds like a reasonable plan.

Do you have rocks stacked against the backside they touch? If not The gyre vertically on the back panel does a great job.
