Hey, I'm considering adding clams to my reef tank.  Probably no time soon, but I'd like to know what are a good 'beginner' clam, and what are some important things to know about clams before you start?  I've got a 4 t5 light, with a 24" tank depth.
    Thanks,Michael

My understanding is they are all pretty much the same as far as care goes. You just want to b sure not to get a small one because they require more feeding. Dersa clams are not a bad choice because you can usually get a good sized one cheaper then say a maxima.

Not so long ago I got a clam and all was well but one morning I woke up and nothing left but a shell.
