Those are pineapple sponges. I have a few they don't cause any problem I don't think occur your nutrients drop in the tank they start to dissappear as well

Make sure you dont have any tube looking things coming out of the rock. They are usually white, and sometimes curly.

I don't see anything like that. What would that be?

A nasty little pest that multiplies all over your tank

vermitid snails is what they are called.

Maybe too late but the vermetid snails are usually much larger, like 1/4" in diameter tube and they spiral into larger blobs like 1" in diameter and cast a net out. I've had them and gotten rid of them by smashing them with a rock, or maybe they just went away. The smaller white ones are just tube worms aren't they @xroads@xroads?

I'm going with the pineapple sponges. They don't move around like an animal. Just float in the current attached to the rock.

No vermitid are usually smaller like pencil led, usually half an inch or so long. As bad is they are tiny white spirals that start showing up everywhere

I've seen that, the tiny white spirals. In the same system, eventually the big ones showed up (by big, I mean silver-dollar size spirals, brown/yellow, nearly pencil-diameter). I didn't think they were the same thing.

They're gone now, and not by anything I did I think.
